Doctor Who – Cardiff Exhibition

Went over to Cardiff this weekend for a night and took the kids to visit the
Doctor Who Exhibition thats on semi-permanent display. A family ticket was £14 and you could go in and out as much as you liked all day. It was ok, the kids enjoyed seeing a Dalek, Cyberman, Judoon, Ood, K9 and other costumes up close. It could have been better. There was a Tardis but it was behind a screen that needed to be illuminated by pressing a button. It would have been nice to have been able to walk through a Tardis Interior. There was only a single Dalek and Cyberman. More would have been better, and probably more menacing. They could have also included the spin off series Torchwood to make it larger.

At the end there was what was billed as a large Sci-Fi shop, in fact it was 99% Dr Who toys and items, so hardly Sci-Fi!

Overall it was worth a visit, plus having a wander down to Cardiff Bay area to see where some of the scenes had been filmed from both Dr Who and Torchwood. It got quite busy on an Easter weekend, so expect it to be very busy over the summer holidays.
