Network USB Hub

I’ve got one of these little devices this week: Network USB Hub.
What an interesting bit of kit it is. It allows 5 directly connected USB devices to be accessible over a network from a number of windows or Mac OS machines. Currently there is only one printer and one laptop using this although the intention is to add my second printer once a couple of networking issues have been sorted.
So far it does what it says on the tin. It allows the printer can card reader to be used over a wireless connection. External hard drives can be used although they will not be at full speed due to the wireless speed being the slowest link in the chain. With 5 USB ports built into it, I can connect a number of devices such as multi-function printers, scanners, webcam, hard drives or usb flash drives. These are then made available across the network as if they were connected directly to the local machine.

More when I can do more stuff with it.
