Flat tyre

I went to get on my bicycle to travel back home from the station tonight only to find the rear tyre was completely flat. After a walk home pushing it I took off the wheel and checked the inner tube. A perfectly round hole in the side of the tyre. Accidental? I think not, someone has deliberately punctured my tyre. I can’t find the entry point on the tyre, its in a bad way in places and should really be replaced as well.

I went to repair the inner tube only to find that the glue had dried up. This is bloody typical. I was looking at buying a new puncture repair kit at the weekend for my sons bicycle.

So what do I do now? Transfer the lights and brackets to my wife’s bicycle and use that. Its only a couple of years old and I’m not happy leaving it chained up at the station all day. It was fine with my old thing. I’ll just have to take an extra lock and chain to make sure it doesn’t go anywhere.
