Fossil fuels won’t last for ever

What is the only sensible solution? Building more nuclear power stations to replace the aging ones we already have is the only solution for the UK.

What other options are there?

Wind? Its never windy 24×7 so expect the lights to go out at some point.
Solar? Do we have enough sun? I think not!
Waves? We’ve got lots of them, being an island, but are they big enough?
Others? Well, probably not worth considering? Put a bunch of vegitarians to good use and capture their farts to burn in power stations? This would keep them from causing trouble and let the rest of us get on with our lives!

You may be right. The only thing I know is that wave power is apparently more efficient that wind power. I don’t know how solar power stacks up. Also, they would store the electricity at the power station, so when it’s not windy or sunny, you would still get electricity.

There’s also fusion power, which they’re researching in France, and are planning on completing in 2050, last time I heard.

Why not, as another crazy home project, set up your own nuclear power station or solar panel?
